ORAL SESSIONS

A .GUIDELINES

  1. LANGUAGE. English will be the official language of the congress.

  2. BREAK-OUT SESSIONS

    From a total of 712 abstract submissions, 296 papers are for oral presentation. These will be presented in 9 break-out rooms with 18 sessions per day at 6-8 presenters per session. Each session is for 90- 120 minutes to be facilitated by a Chairman / Co-Chairman to ensure smooth and timely flow of discussions.

  3. PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

    A. Only registered authors / co-authors are authorized to present the paper. If presenting author cannot attend the congress, please inform your session chair the name of the substitute presenter prior to the presentation.

    B. Power Point Presentation
  • Presenter shall load the USB Memory stick in the Speaker’s Ready Area within the assigned room at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.
  • It is the responsibility of the presenter to pretest and check the compatibility of his slides with the congress laptop.
  • Presenters are advised to keep a back-up copy of their presentation in PDF file.
  • Only conference laptops are used for presentation.
  • Limit slide presentation to 10 mins plus 5 mins for moderated discussion (Q&A).
  • Limit to no more than 15 slides with brief emphasis on objectives, methodology, results and conclusion.
  • Presenter is advised to strictly follow the 10-minute presentation guideline for the session to finish on time.
  • Presenter will be notified by the session chair 3 minutes prior; and will be requested to wrap-up 1 minute before the end of time allocation.
  • We recommend that the presenter rehearses the timing of slide presentation very carefully to make sure that the presentation takes no more than the allocated time.

    C. In an effort to synchronize the parallel session, moderators have been instructed to impose strict adherence to time schedule. This is to allow delegates to move from one session to another and from one room to another in a timely manner, likewise for the session to finish on time in courtesy to the succeeding session assigned in the same room
